Introducing… FrugalBaby!

Wow! I can’t believe how long it’s been since our last post. I guess we’ve been pretty busy, but I promise we’ll have more (in)fertility, pregnancy, and frugality posts up soon. First though, I’d like you to meet the latest member of our team; FrugalBaby! Her cuteness makes up for being such a slacker (she hasn’t written a single blog post yet!).

Our sweet little miracle decided to join us 10 days past her due date, a week before Christmas.

Cutest Christmas present ever?

Besides being late, our little girl has been pretty damn awesome. She’s already lived up to her name by being born right before the end of the year so that all medical costs fell in the same year (reaching our deductible) and we get to take advantage of being a three-person household in 2018 for tax purposes.

The not so frugal part? At almost 5 weeks old, little FrugalBaby hasn’t mastered the art of using the bathroom just yet (what?!). So diapers are a big new line item in our budget.

What a difference a year makes. In January of 2018, we finally got pregnant naturally after a failed IVF attempt, but it ended up in an early loss. Now here we are, a year later, with a 1-month old, totally smitten.

I’m so happy that some of our readers have reached out to let us know they’re expecting. There truly is no greater joy. To all of you who are still in the midst of infertility treatment, hang in there! You never know what this year may bring 🙂

How exciting! Congratulations on your little one! I’m 4 months behind you in my pregnancy (also spontaneous after having gone through all the testing at a clinic a month before) and have watched the blog shift from fertility to cautious early pregnancy and now you’re posting diaper reviews – how great is that! So miracles do happen, you just have to hang in there 😊
